Meet the Pilatus PC-12 PRO

On March 14, 2025, the grand launch of the new Pilatus PC-12 PRO took place - an event that attracted the attention of the entire aviation industry. Our company was honored to participate in this unique presentation, which took place at Pilatus Aircraft's headquarters in picturesque Stans, Switzerland.

On site, we were able to talk to the engineers and designers responsible for this groundbreaking development. The new PC-12 PRO is not just an evolution of a well-known and respected model - it is a true revolution in the segment of single-engine premium turboprop aircraft.

What distinguishes the PC-12 PRO and why is it already being talked about as the most advanced aircraft in its class?

The Pilatus PC-12 PRO is a true breakthrough in the world of single-engine aviation. With a completely new cockpit, innovative safety features such as Autoland, Smart Glide and Electronic Stability and Protection (ESP), as well as a refreshed interior and modern color schemes, the PC-12 PRO is now the most technologically advanced aircraft in its class. Although it has been redesigned, it remains recognizable - it's still the Pilatus that pilots around the world love.

Modern technology at the heart of the PC-12 PRO

At the heart of the new PC-12 PRO is a completely refreshed cockpit - the Advanced Cockpit Environment (ACE), based on the Garmin G3000 PRIME system. Pilatus has taken care of full personalization, including proprietary solutions such as the Cursor Control Device.

Three high-resolution 14-inch touchscreens, supported by two additional 7-inch displays, offer twice the processing power and four times the RAM capacity of the previous G3000 system.

The new cockpit also features ergonomic volatiles inspired by the PC-24, a more refined interior finish and improved visibility thanks to the removal of the "Direct Vision" side window frame.

Autoland - safety at the highest level

The Pilatus PC-12 PRO introduces Garmin's advanced safety features, including an Autoland emergency landing function that can automatically bring the aircraft to the ground in an emergency.

In addition, stall warning and electronic stabilization and flight protection systems have been improved, and there is a new weather radar with a larger antenna, which improves the pilot's situational awareness.

Comfortable interior and modern design

The PC-12 PRO cabin combines modern design, high comfort and timeless style. All-new cabin furniture provides more storage space, and new color schemes give the interior a futuristic feel.

Both the interior and exterior design of the aircraft are inspired by the digital age - bold, technological finishes and dynamic lines make the PC-12 PRO look as modern as it works.

A proven engine - the key to reliability

For a single-engine aircraft, the reliability of the power unit is an absolute must. Fortunately, the PC-12 PRO is powered by the latest version of the legendary Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6 engine, which has earned trust around the world - more than 60,000 engines in service and more than 400 million flight hours are proof of its unrivaled safety.

Thanks to the digital thrust control system - Autothrottle (EPECS) - the aircraft automatically adjusts engine parameters, which reduces pilot workload, improves performance, reduces fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions, and ensures quiet flight. The PC-12 PRO is also ready to use sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
