LET L 410 UVP-E20 (II)
JB Aviation & Aero Club close another historic contract for the country
At the end of October, the consortium of JB Investments Sp. z o.o. (JB Aviation) and Aero Club Sp. z o.o. completed the delivery oftwo new LET L 410 UVP-E20 aircraft to the Border Guard. The contract is worth nearly PLN 120 million.
The LET L 410 UVP-E20 aircraft are twin-engine turboprop aircraft designed for patrol, reconnaissance, and transport tasks. They are equipped with, among other things,a modern long-range optoelectronic head, a satellite communication system, an automatic identification system (AIS) for surface vessels, and rescue equipment for searching for shipwreck victims. The new aircraft will increase the operational capabilities of the Border Guard in terms of monitoring and protecting the state border. They will also be used duringinternational missions coordinated by the Frontex Agency, supporting the protection of the European Union's external borders.
These are not the first aircraft of this type in the Polish Border Guard fleet. In 2020, the formation received two LET L 410 UVP-E20 aircraft, which have since been used both domestically and in international missions. Following the delivery of two more aircraft, the Border Guard's Turbolet fleet now consists of four aircraft, which means a significant increase in the formation's operational capabilities.
The new aircraft will enable the Border Guard tomonitor national borders more effectively and respond more quickly in crisis situations. They will facilitate rescue operations and effective participation in international operations. The expansion of the air fleet also supports the process of infrastructure modernization and the development of technical facilities, contributing to the strengthening of the state's operational capabilities. The LET L 410 UVP-E20 aircraft will be stationed at the operational base at Gdańsk-Rębiechowo Airport.

- conducting special operations in all conditions, both day and night
- immediate response to potential threats
- excellent coordination of activities with other services
