LET L 410 UVP-E20

JB Aviation & Aero Club close another historic contract for the country

At the end of October, a consortium of JB Investments Sp. z o.o. (JB Aviation) and Aero Club Sp. z o.o. completed the delivery of two new LET L 410 UVP-E20 aircraft for the Border Guard. The value of the contract is nearly PLN 120 million.

LET L 410 UVP-E20 aircraft are twin-engine turboprop machines adapted for patrol, reconnaissance and transport tasks. They are equipped with, among other things, a modern long-range optoelectronic warhead, a satellite communications system, an automatic identification system for surface vessels (AIS) and rescue equipment for searching for survivors. The new aircraft will enhance the Border Guard's operational capabilities in monitoring and protecting the national border. They will also be used during international missions coordinated by the Frontex Agency, supporting the protection of the European Union's external borders.

These are not the first machines of this type in the fleet of the Polish Border Guard. In 2020, the formation already took delivery of two LET L 410 UVP-E20 aircraft, which have since been used both domestically and in international missions. Following the delivery of two more machines, the Border Guard's fleet of Turbolets now includes four aircraft, which means a significant increase in the formation's operational capabilities.

The new aircraft will allow the Border Guard to monitor national borders more effectively and respond more quickly in emergency situations. They will enable rescue operations and effective participation in international operations. The expansion of the aviation fleet also supports the process of infrastructure modernization and the development of technical facilities, contributing to the strengthening of the state's operational capabilities. The LET L 410 UVP-E20 aircraft will be stationed at an operational base at Gdansk-Rębiechowo airport.

What this means in practice:
- precise surveillance of the land and sea border
- carrying out special operations in all conditions both day and night
- direct response to potential threats
- excellent coordination of operations together with other services

Seeing these beautiful aircraft in the sky is a special moment for both me and the entire team, who have been working 101% in recent times to close this incredibly complex project.

I am proud of the entire JB Aviation & Aero Club team involved in this task. This was one of the most difficult projects in the company's history. Hundreds of hours of work and sleepless nights. I would like to thank everyone from this place for their commitment.
