Mission accomplished - video

The modernization of four Bell 407GXi helicopters for the Police Department is an incredibly difficult, complex and knowledge-intensive task. This task was entrusted to one of the best companies in the world, i.e. Airborne Technologies, based in Austria. 

Airborne Technologies is a multi-skilled aerospace company with skills that include research and development, design, manufacturing, testing, training, certification and more. In particular, they integrate and modify some of the world's most advanced special mission aircraft and helicopters. Through a combination of research, engineering and manufacturing, the company provides global solutions to customers in the commercial, public safety and defense aviation industries.

The modified helicopters are equipped with an on-board LINX surveillance system, including:

• Airborne LINX Operator Workstation
• Trakka TC-300 SDIR gimbal
• Trakka A-800 Search Light
• Trakka TM-100 Augmented Reality System
• ECS Downlink
  
  

The helicopters are used for traffic control and monitoring and are part of the project "Safer on the Roads - Aerial Traffic Surveillance" implemented with EU funds from the Operational Program Infrastructure and Environment.
