"Raven" comes back to life - project launches - part 1
There is a rumor in the aviation world that is quite a sensation for avionics enthusiasts. What's more, it is true. At the TZL Aviation Workshop, Henryk Wicki and his colleagues are restoring the PZL 106 "Raven" aircraft to its state of splendor. If it succeeds, and everything points to it, it will be the only one in Poland and one of two in Europe flying copies of this machine. "Kruk" is not a design from the distant past. It was created in the early 1970s by the team of engineer Andrzej Frydrychewicz, designer of PZL Warszawa-Okęcie. However, it was used for work in the murderous conditions of agro-aircraft. Hence the significant degree of their wear and tear. Seen here and there, the remains look more like scrap metal than aircraft. The copy currently in H. Wicki's workshop was in no better condition. We talked about it at its rebuilt cabin.
