Progress in the "Raven" project - part 3
It's high time to check what interesting things are happening with the "Raven" project - that is, the restored PZL 106 aircraft. Bringing back to life the legendary machines that shaped the history of Polish Aviation is the main goal of our foundation "Zabytki Polskiego Nieba".
Mr. Henryk Wicki and his colleagues in the field of mechanics and aviation are a strongly substantive team, which is constantly working on the restoration of this one of the most successful designs of Polish engineers, which entered serial production.
The PZL-106 is an unusual design, characteristic of agro-aircraft of this class. The base of the aircraft, linking all elements, loads and forces, such as the engine, landing gear and wings, is a truss. Above it is the superstructure of the cabin. As a rule, the cabin was placed somewhere in the center of the truss, protruding only slightly from it. You will learn about this and many other interesting facts in a series of posts about this project.
