TS-8 BIES

The October issue of Aviation Review and our TS-8 Bies on the cover. This is not the first and probably not the last cover with a machine from the resources of JB AVIATION. Nevertheless, this time it's a special, sentimental journey....

The PZL TS-8 Bies, is a two-seat all-Polish training and training aircraft constructed at the Institute of Aviation by the team of Eng. Tadeusz Soltyk, and flown on July 23, 1955. The TS-8 Bies was the first Polish modern metal aircraft with a Polish engine to be produced in a large series after the war. Serial aircraft were sent to officers' flight schools and to units of the Air Force, the National Air Defense Forces and Navy aviation. Since 1958, "Bies" aircraft were also introduced to the OSL in Deblin.

TS-8 Bies is one of the aircraft belonging to the "Monuments of the Polish Sky" Foundation, founded by JB Aviation President Mr. Jan Borowski. In the issue you will find an extensive article on the machine and photos taken by Filip Modrzejewski. According to our information, only 2 copies are flying in the world. This is an amazing success for the team of mechanics from AeroClub JB Aviation - we are proud of it!
