Bell 407 GXi
Strong emphasis in the Polish Police
This is a historic contract in the company's history. The Polish Police, now having 7 such machines, will be able to match the number of these helicopters to the American state of Texas.
This project is the largest that the Police Headquarters has implemented so far with European funds - i.e. nearly PLN 170 million for the purchase of 4 Bell-407GXi helicopters. The new Bell-407GXi helicopters, together with the machines purchased over the past four years, constitute one of the most modern aviation fleets not only in the country, but also in Europe.
One of the important stages of the contract was the modernization of the machines to adapt them to the special tasks carried out by the Polish Police. JB Aviation has been working for years with one of the world's top service providers in this area - Airborne Technologies.
Airborne Technologies is a multi-skilled aerospace company with skills that include research and development, design, manufacturing, testing, training and certification. In particular, they integrate and modify some of the world's most advanced special mission aircraft and helicopters.
Light multi-role helicopter
The police Bell-407 GXi is a patrol and surveillance helicopter that will also be used for security or pursuit. It allows day and night flying. It has excellent avionics and a very good and proven 813 hp engine. The large excess of power makes it possible to perform very high hovering, which allows safer execution of tasks according to their specifications.

Air Patrol
Equipped with a thermal imaging camera and video recording and transmission system, the Police BELL 407 GXi allows the commander to effectively direct an action or operation by monitoring the situation in real time from the helicopter's perspective. The new Police BELL 407 GXi helicopters are also equipped with an additional fuel tank, which will enable the aviators to cover some 700 kilometers, thus dramatically increasing their area of operation.

For special tasks
Helicopters will be used, among other things, to monitor traffic on the country's main thoroughfares and the borders of large agglomerations, to reveal and coordinate activities related to illegal racing and manifestations of "road piracy," to produce video documentation of traffic accidents, to conduct and coordinate pursuit activities for perpetrators of traffic accidents, etc.

Airborne Technologies
The BELL 407 GXi police helicopters were equipped with an on-board LINX surveillance system after modification at Airborne Technologies, including: Airborne LINX Operator Workstation, Trakka TC-300 SDIR gimbal, Trakka A-800 Search Light, Trakka TM-100 Augmented Reality System, ECS Downlink. Retrofitted in this way, the helicopters represent one of the best modernized fleets of police machines around the world.
